Fortuny

Mariano Fortuny was the best artist, photographer, designer. He was born already artistic family in Granada Spain. His father was also a painter in Spain. He was really a talented artist; he became apparent at a young age.He was displaying ability as a painter early. His family moved to Venice at 1889. He is also famous for the Delphos gown, a gown based on the ancient Grecian style. The new methods of dying textiles were also created and well as ways of printing of fabrics. It is hard to single out which aspect of the personality and work of Mariano Fortuny was predominant.

His entire artistic production was based on an extraordinary synthesis of worlds and eras, of style and techniques that only in Venice. The Fortuny museum was donated in 1956 by Henriette. Fortuny was the best friend and colleague of designers, inventors, fabric manufacturers and photographers. It was converted into a studio for painting, photography, set design and the creation of fabrics and the house does have the look and fee of a theatre set. At the Fortuny museum, you can see created objects by Fortuny.
